The Brand Story
There is a moment, underwater, when the world above the surface becomes genuinely irrelevant. Not in an escapist way. In a structural way. The rules are different. The silence is different. The sense of what matters is different.
Rohit Gupta has had that moment thousands of times — in the Pacific Ocean, off the coast of Galápagos, in the cave systems of Mexico. And each time he came back up, he brought with him the same uncomfortable awareness: the world above the surface is making decisions about the world below it, and most of those decisions are being made by people who have never been down there.
Ocean Evoke exists to change that relationship.
We do it through products — wall prints, poncho towels, ocean apparel, and magic mugs, each carrying an original underwater photograph by Rohit and a direct contribution to reef conservation.
We do it through stories — conservation articles, dive journals and underwater photography that take the reader into the places that most people will only ever imagine.
And we do it through advocacy — consulting services that bring the ocean’s urgency into the boardrooms and strategy sessions of Indian businesses navigating sustainability.
Ocean Evoke is not the brand equivalent of a donation bucket. It is a business model built on a belief: that commerce and conservation are not opposites. That you can sell something beautiful and fund something important. That purpose and profit, when properly structured, compound.

Learn more about our Founder
Our founder, Rohit Gupta, an experienced technical diver and underwater photographer, recognized the urgent need for ocean conservation. Combining deep marine insight with expertise in sustainability consulting, he founded Ocean Evoke.
We aim to showcase the beauty of the underwater world, offer thoughtfully curated ocean-inspired products, and raise awareness about its vulnerabilities-while contributing to solutions that protect its future.
Born in Australia. Nurtured in India.
Rohit studied in Melbourne. Then he found diving, and followed it to Cairns — gateway to the Great Barrier Reef, where reefs are protected by law, funded by science, and worn as a point of national pride. He built a business there just to stay close to the water and pay for the dives that didn’t come cheap. Years and oceans later, he came home to a coastline three times as long, with almost no one protecting it. Ocean Evoke is what filled that gap — an idea picked up in Australia, a mission built dive by dive across some of the most extraordinary oceans on earth, and finally brought to life in India and Australia both.
