Recreational diving is an accessible and enjoyable way to explore the underwater world in relatively shallow and comfortable conditions. Divers often explore coastal waters, coral reefs, and marine ecosystems at depths of 18–40 meters (60–130 feet), where natural light allows for vibrant marine life observation. Recreational divers typically use standard scuba equipment, including a single tank, buoyancy control device, regulator, and other essential gear.

Technical diving requires specialized equipment configurations such as double tanks, redundant systems, and breathing gases like nitrox and trimix. Divers may also use tools such as underwater scooters, rebreathers, and advanced dive computers to manage complex dives. The skills and knowledge required are developed through comprehensive training programs offered by certified agencies like Technical Diving International.

See Our Impact“I was planning to dive in Bali and reached out for some clarity. Rohit Gupta helped me understand what certifications I should complete first and what basic equipment I should not ignore, like a proper fitting mask and rash guard. He also mentioned safety habits like equalizing early and often, which really helped me avoid discomfort underwater.”

“Before my first proper dives in Lakshadweep, I spoke with Rohit Gupta. He explained things in a very calm and clear way, like how to control breathing, manage buoyancy, and why it’s important not to chase marine life. He also suggested what kind of dive suit would be comfortable in those waters. It didn’t feel overwhelming, just the right amount of guidance.”
